Position Overview:

Gold Media Tech, on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in the financial services sector, is seeking a proactive Junior Data Analyst to join their team part-time, working 20 hours per week. The Junior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting data analytics initiatives, assisting in data collection, analysis, and visualization to facilitate informed decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing financial data from various sources.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Support the development and maintenance of data models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to convey insights to internal teams and clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization techniques.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and optimization of data workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Prior experience in financial analysis or data analytics is preferred but not mandatory.
